In 2012 a small family moved from Denmark to Jordan. We expected to find beautiful decorations to make our home cozy and hyggeligt (we will get to that word later) during Islamic festivals. But we didn't find much, so we decided to make our own, and with that Eid Decorations was founded. We are inspired by Islamic history, tradition and art. We search different cultures trying to learn about Ramadan and Eid traditions and are always curious to learn about that feeling, which bring out special memories for (especially) children. In danish we call it Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah). Hygge is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cozy, charming or special.
We hope to inspire families to make their own hyggelige Ramadan and Eid traditions and memories.
